The core loop
Between Heroic Games matches, you spend limited time strengthening a party, learning about the next opponent and exploring Dagsion or wider Dagda. Then you deploy units in a traditional turn-based tactical battle.
- Choose or continue one hero’s storyline.
- Review the upcoming opponent and available time.
- Train, shop, recruit, take quests, seek blessings or travel.
- Choose units and deployment positions for the match.
- Fight with range, terrain, Arts and support positioning.
- Switch hero paths between matches or continue the current story.
Four paths, one larger story
In 1449, Cai, Dietrich, Theodora and Leda enter the Heroic Games with different wishes. You guide one at a time, but can visit the Pale Raven’s perch between matches to change storylines; progress is saved separately.
In 1454, Eshmel reaches a Dagda ruined by Balor. Fortuna offers a way to intervene in the four earlier paths, change their fates and bring the heroes into the future confrontation.

Tactical matches and battle tools
After selecting units and positions, turns alternate between your side and the opponent. Movement appears in blue and attack range in red. Counterattack control is central: strike close-range enemies from afar and close distance against long-range units.
- Terrain and adjacency: terrain can create advantages; nearby allies can provide buffs.
- Combat Arts: spend weapon durability for extra power, reach or effects.
- Blaze Arts: central heroes spend HP on character-specific high-impact abilities.
- Fortuna’s Blessing: rewind to a previous point after each move to revise a bad decision.
- Class identity: classes change weapons, stats, movement and tactical role.
World travel and dungeon clashes
Outside Dagsion, each move on the world map advances time. Towns offer local goods and information, while skirmishes can build experience. The four heroes also have unique world-map abilities.
Dungeons provide weapon-enhancement materials and treasure. Enemy encounters trigger turn-based “clashes” that differ from standard matches and allow allied attack combos.
Joy-Con 2 mouse controls
Fortune’s Weave is the first Fire Emblem entry Nintendo advertises with mouse controls. A Joy-Con 2 can move units and access information, and the game can switch between mouse and button input. Mouse control is optional, not a different game mode.
